Tetrix Online

Tetrix Online is a new way to play the old-school puzzle game where you stack blocks. Five colored forms fall at a time from the top of the screen, making it look like Tetrominoes but with a twist. It's your job to move and twist them so that they make straight horizontal lines. Get rid of a line to get points and keep going. Your score goes up as more lines you clear in a drop.

You have time to think because the game starts off slowly. But don't settle down too much. The blocks fall faster, sometimes really quickly, as you level up. If you make one mistake, your stack could get too high and the game would be over. It's easy to learn but hard to get good at.

How to Play

The blocks fall from the top of the grid on their own.
You can plan ahead because you can see five blocks ahead of time at once.
Make sure that each block fills in a horizontal gap. You get points when a line is filled all the way to the end.
When all of your blocks are stacked to the top of the board, the game is over.

Controls

To go left, press A or the left arrow key.
To go right, press D or the right arrow key.
Use the W or Up Arrow to turn right.
For a soft drop (a faster fall), press the S or Down Arrow.
Space bar for hard drop (fast drop)
Tip: Don't drop every block right away. Just turn it around and move it to the right place for you. It's a lot easier to clear lines.

Specifics

It's a classic puzzle game with a new flow. Seeing five blocks at once gives you more power over how you play.
With speeds that build up, it starts out calm and ends up furious. Great for short games or long tasks that require you to focus.
Combo scoring: Get a lot more points by clearing more than one line with a single block. That's how you get to the top of the leaderboards.
Simple movements that work well—no tricky combos. To play, just drag, turn, and drop.
Replayability—Each game is unique because the forms of the blocks are chosen at random and the challenge level rises.

Tetrix Online is a great game to try if you like Tetris-style games but want something a little different. With the five-block sample, it's also a little more strategic. No matter how hard you try, you can't put it down. It's great for testing your speed and ability to plan ahead.
