This is a rule of life and death: an Impostor leaves behind a colored trail when he departs his region. If you can cut that track quickly and accurately, the enemies will be defeated and their land will be yours. Always maintain your trail secure at the same time.

The Basics of Gameplay

You play Amongus.io to compete to take over land on a shared map. It's not hard to follow the rules, but it's hard to win.

Goal: Get the crown by becoming the Impostor with the most land.
Move: If you drag your mouse or finger (if you're playing on a mobile device), your Impostor will move on its own.
Capture territory: You will leave a trail when you go out of your secure region (your territory). You have to go in a circle and come back to the safe ground to make that area your domain. The space inside that circle is yours.
Kill the enemy: When another Impostor leaves the area, they too leave a trail. If you utilize your track to cross theirs, that opponent will be killed right away.
Be destroyed: On the other hand, if another Impostor crosses your route, you will be out of the game. Be careful and protect yourself well.

Advice and Strategies

Don't ever walk in a straight line. If you're not sure there isn't anyone around, walking in a lengthy straight line will make you very easy to attack. Instead, travel in short circles and zigzags so that you can quickly get back to your area if you need to. Be on the lookout and go fast.
Start with little pieces of land: Instead of trying to take big chunks of land, start with small areas near your own. This will keep you safer, and if someone attacks you, you'll just lose a little bit.
Use your enemies' weaknesses against them: Always watch out for other Impostors. If they are busy taking land or moving away from their territory, then is a great time for you to attack. A rapid cutback can help you get rid of a tough opponent.
